Engaging With Customers
A key challenge for businesses today is how to engage customers. This is important for companies large and small. Conversations are an excellent way for businesses to engage customers. Business blog marketing is more like a conversation while a typical website is more like making an announcement.
Blog marketing is different: Blogging is talking with your audience and allowing them to talk back. It is about listening and learning. This affects what you have to say in your next posting. The idea is to constantly engage your audience to create a mutually beneficial relationship.
Comment Actively: Visit and actively comment on other related blogs. Actively engage bloggers by commenting on key business topics. This will also help you understand your audience’s perspective that is related to your product and company.
Engage thru conversation: Conversational marketing is different than traditional marketing. The idea is to create and improve understanding. It is not about merely delivering a message. It is not about making announcements; it is about talking and listening.
Focus on benefits: Customers want to know what you can do for them. How will your product benefit them? Many business managers and owners have difficulty in distinguishing benefits from features. Communications should focus on the benefits you offer.
Point of view: In Internet marketing and in websites, look at the customer experience from an emotional view point. What interests them? What frustrates them? What are the unasked questions? Designing a great customer experience from an emotional angle can have a dramatic improvement on revenue.
