There is real power in the blogging mindset. In business blogging you become very focused on the wants, needs, issues, and interests of your targeted audience. The idea is to grow your readership by writing insightful and interesting content.

As you write blogs, your perspective and your way of thinking shift toward thinking about markets and customers. This shift into the blogging mindset is extremely beneficial for your business.

Blogging is like being an investigative reporter. If you are blogging successfully, part of your mind is always thinking about that next blog post. As you go thru each day, you become more observant and more focused. This makes you more effective in everything you do.

The blogging mindset

  1. Alertness: You become more alert and vigilant to what is going on around you. You are always on the prowl for new material.
  2. Questioning: You analyze and question everything that goes on in your targeted market. You think in terms of cause and effect and look for the root cause.
  3. Researching: As you find new things, you spend time investigating to understand your premise more fully. You explore new areas that you may not have considered before.
  4. Customer focused: You look at things thru your customers eyes, after all you want to build up your readership. .
  5. Expert: By thinking deeply, analyzing and watching your targeted niche, you keep expanding your knowledge and understanding. If you weren’t an expert when you started, you become one.

The process of blogging creates the blogging mindset. The blogging mindset, if you are diligent, will make you a customer focused expert.
